Creighton University

As part of the Dental Materials course at Creighton University, Freshman dental students participated in a small group research project under the direction of a faculty mentor from each department. On April 10, 2007, the freshman students presented their research projects to faculty and students. Select faculty served as judges for the event and the top three winning groups were presented with a certificate and cash prize.

Ten groups presented their posters at the annual Spring Dental Assembly. Mr. Jeff Huff of DENTSPLY International presented the winning group with a plaque for their presentation entitled “Methods for Postmortem Incinerated Teeth Cleanings and the Detection of Tooth Colored Restorations.” The team consisted of Michelle Rowe, Nicole Leadley, Louis Guillory, Joe Nierzwicki, Jenny Bishop, Maliza Cahee and Chelsea Lewis.
